Based on Arita-yaki\u2019s 400-year history of tradition, he realized the unique expression through over 30 years of untiring trial and error with delicate research on glazes.  <a href=\"https:\/\/kusaba-kazuhisa.com\/en\/about\/\"><font color=\"#1e90ff\"><u>Click here for more<\/u><\/font><\/a><\/p>\r\n<p><font size=\"5\";><strong>Artist Kazuhisa Kusaba <\/strong><\/font><br>\r\nKusaba was born in Saga Prefecture in 1960.<br>\r\nFrom an early age, he grew up with a strong interest in \u201clife\u201d such as animals and nature.\r\nKusaba, who found great joy in creation and expression, entered the College of Art at Nihon University to take the Theatre Course only to realize that what was truly necessary for him was not the artistic technique but experiences that could give him profundity and wisdom to vivify his arts. He left the college and became a backpacker to spend almost 4 years traveling mainly around Asia.The trip allowed him to look at ordinary things from a different perspective rather than an occasion to learn something new. Here are some photos and videos of the past event.\r\n<\/p>\r\n<br><div class=\"tittle\"><p style=\"font-size:25px;\">\u25a0 Kyoto, at To-ji temple<\/strong><\/p><\/div><br>\r\n<p>Since 2016, we have regularly held the TOSAIGA exhibitions at the World Heritage site To-ji Temple. <br>Masterpieces, such as dynamic and powerful dragons, merciful and compassionate Bodhisattva, and so on, come together every time at To-ji Temple with more than 1200 years of history.To-ji Temple was built by Kobo Daishi Kukai as the head temple of the Shingon school to spread Vajrayana Buddhism in Japan. For instance, an exhibition specially focused on new works was held in 2023 at BANK GALLERY built by architect Mr. Tadao Ando. Especially in Tokyo, we borrowed an entire building falling into ruins and displayed TOSAIGA pieces in a dimly lit space with exposed concrete. It was based on the idea that what we should do was accept the situation as it was and present an inspiring exhibition with a strong sense of vitality as if something energetic were sprouts breaking through the exposed concrete, rather than try to make a flashy and showy appearance. Thus, we mainly focused on dynamic masterpieces and works symbolizing &#8220;resurrection.&#8221; Our wish to provide moving art experiences while maintaining a safe and secure distance successfully reached many people, and the exhibition was featured in multiple media outlets.
